William “Bill” Riley Robinson was born December 16th, 1839 in Talladega Alabama. His father Mordecai was 32 years old, his mother Eunice “Nicey” was 30. He married Rena Honeycutt on February 27th 1862 then volunteered for service with B company 25th Alabama. His son James Monroe Robinson was born November 30th 1862. His Pension application lists service in artillery at Chickamauga, Missionary Ridge, Chattanooga Tenn, and captured at (unreadable), imprisoned in Alton Ill for 8 months 15 days, his total length of service was 3 and a half years. After the war he had five more children, lived in Chilton County Alabama until his death at 85 years on Sept 22 1925, buried at Inion Grove Cemetery.
