When Charles Lesesne was born on May 8, 1839, his father, Francis James Lesesne, was 24 and his mother, Amarintha Nelson Plowden Lesesne, was 21. He had three sons and one daughter with Mary Emily Harvin Lesesne between 1841 and 1886. He died on October 27, 1901, at the age of 62, and was buried in Greeleyville, South Carolina.

 

Died at his home in Greelyville last Sunday, Mr. Charles Lesesne age about 65 years. The deceased was at one time a member of the board of County Commissioners of Williamsburg county, and late Supervisor of Registration. He was a gallant (sic) confederate soldier, a very popular citizen, and he had many friends in this county.
