Measures 30" x 19". Have you ever heard of Hero the Bloodhound of Libby Prison? He was an enormous Russian Bloodhound who was imported from Russia in 1859 for sports of the arena. He was seized by the Confederates shortly after the War Between the States broke out in 1861 and was subsequently used for guarding Union prisoners at Libby Prison. He was believed to be the strongest dog in the world and was famous all around the country. He was so famous that he was in a travelling exhibition and even had his own carte d'visite (calling card) which detailed his enormous size. His weight was 198 pounds; height 3 feet 2 inches; length from tip to tip, 7 feet 1.5 inches.

Featuring Historic Elm Springs, a stack of arms with drum, and the picture of Brigadier General Frank Armstrong whose cavalry brigade saved Elm Springs in 1864 interrupting the Yankees trying to burn it down. The ribbon is the Polk Corps flag based upon Lt. Gen. Leonidas Polk's early life in Columbia.
