Henry James Coleman Was Born 12/08/1846 In Talladega Co. Alabama To Parents Thomas Warren Coleman And Mary Jane Mahan.

He enlisted in what became Co. C  62nd Alabama Regiment Infantry ln 12/1863 at the age of 17.
He was present at the Battle Of Spanish Fort and Blakeley. Captured at Blakeley and sent to Ship Island Mississippi prison. At War’s end he was shipped to Vicksburg, Mississippi to be paroled. He died in Jefferson Co. Alabama on 01/07/1927.
