Born 1836 in Huttonsville (W)Va to Samuel Channell and Sarah Wamsley.

He was a member of the 107th Regiment Virginia Militia before the war. He enlisted into Company F, 31st Virginia Infantry on May 24, 1861. He was captured near Winchester, VA on July 20, 1864 and sent to Camp Chase. On March 2, 1865 he was sent to City Point for prisoner exchange.

He married Mary Crickard in 1867 and had 8 children. Noah died March 2, 1865 in Huttonsville, WV. and is buried in Brick Church Cemetery near Huttonsville, WV.
